What Bible verses can comfort us?
When we are in the midst of suffering, our perspective may need to be reset every day. Reading in the Psalms may need to be our constant practice. So many of them are cries of the heart, and prayers that we can also pray.
There is meaning even in our pain
God spoke through Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:1-17 to remind us that our sufferings are not meaningless or without purpose. We are becoming more and more like Jesus:
Colossians 3:9-10 - "... you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator."
