Christmas memory verse, indeed! Learn the words of Micah 5:2 with your choice of:
When the magi appeared in Jerusalem, inquiring, "Where is he that is born King of the Jews?" King Herod the tyrant was troubled.
Almost comically, Matthew 2:3 adds, "and all Jerusalem with him!" To anger Herod was a dangerous matter, as would be seen when he later sent his soldiers to slaughter all the male children in Bethlehem aged 2 and younger.
Having some knowledge of the Hebrew scriptures, he gathered the chief priests and scribes together and demanded to know where the Christ should be born.
They knew very well, for the Messiah's birthplace had been prophesied over 400 years before, by the prophet Micah.
The priests and scribes answered King Herod,
"In Bethlehem of Judea: for so it is written by the prophet:
"And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means the least among the princes of Judah: for from you shall come a ruler, who will shepherd my people Israel."

One of the phrases in this prophetic verse gives me the chills - it is where Micah says,
"...whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting."
This is saying what John "the Baptist" says of Jesus in the book of John chapter 1,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
And it is what Jesus says about himself in John chapter 8:
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

The key of Am is one of my favorites, both for guitar and piano, as the chords are usually easy, and the tablature melodies too.

Thou, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though thou be little,
Yet out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be
Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting!
Everlasting. Micah five, two.
