"There is neither Jew nor Gentile" are words spoken by the apostle Paul, himself a Jew, describing how in God's eyes, we are all equal.
I love this verse in Galatians 3, because Paul goes on to say that whether you are a slave or a free man, you are no different in God's eyes!
To our modern sensibilities, this may seem obvious - but there has always been slavery as far back as history goes... only with Judaism and Christianity came the idea that human life is sacred, and that all are equal before God.
Then, "there is neither male nor female!" How necessary it is to know this, for so many women still feel devalued in modern society, even by their churches, where they should feel prized.
Churches and individual Christian believers may fail toward others, but God does not discriminate between men and women, or even between adults and children. All are loved and valued.

I have arranged this song in two keys; Cm and Em. The higher key, E minor, is much easier to play in, though perhaps a little high for some voices, in the top notes.
Except for the B chord, it is also an easy key for guitarists to play in.

Despite the irritating, troubling, and sometimes terrible injustices or disparities that exist in our world, as they did in Jesus's time, yet before God we are all the SAME. In his eyes, we are equally valuable.
That's why Paul says, "There is no male or female - you all are ONE in Christ Jesus."
What a beautiful picture of God's love for all, which sees each of us as an equal among equals.
There is neither Jew nor Gentile,
There is neither slave nor free,
There is neither male nor female,
For you all are one, for you all are one, for you all are one in Christ Jesus.
There is neither Jew nor Gentile,
There is neither slave nor free,
There is neither male nor female,
For you all are one, for you all are one, for you all are one in Christ Jesus.

Hi, I'm Dana! (Say that like "Anna".) I'm the owner of Music-for-Music-Teachers.com, and this newer site, SingTheBibleStory.com.
Like some of you, I've been playing the piano since early childhood, and have added a few other instruments along the way, plus an interest in arranging and composing music.
I also happen to love the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Christian worldview that portrays The Great War in the heavens, in which we here on earth are destined to be a part.
