In this text from I Corinthians 15:3-4, Paul boils the "good news" down to just three things:
The prophetic texts may seem deep and difficult to construe. Probably that was God's intention... in order to keep the forces of evil from knowing exactly what would happen when the Christ appeared. Remember that Satan tried to tempt Jesus with the kingdoms of this world... did he not understand exactly who He was?
As Paul said in I Corinthians 2:7-8,
"...we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
"Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
But God's plan was for the crucifixion to be the path of redemption for all of us, so it was NECESSARY for Jesus to go to the Cross. Therefore, God rarely spelled out His plan point by point like a math textbook, but used much storytelling, symbolism, cryptic visions and prophecies to gradually color in His grand picture, rather like a connect-the-dots approach!
What is most important? Christ died for our sins.
Just as the scriptures say, Christ died for our sins,
And He was buried, just as the scriptures say,
But He rose again, on the third day!
What is most important? Christ died for our sins.
Just as the scriptures say, Christ died for our sins.

Like some of you, I've been playing the piano since early childhood, and have added a few other instruments along the way, plus an interest in arranging and composing music.
I also happen to love the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Christian worldview that portrays The Great War in the heavens, in which we here on earth are destined to be a part.
